The trainings focused on disinformation, foreign information manipulation and interference (FIMI), and media and information literacy (MIL), with a strong emphasis on how these topics can be taught and embedded in academic curricula.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The BECID delegation included lead researcher<strong> <\/strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#ffcd05\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Marju Himma<\/mark>, project manager <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#ffcd05\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Gretel Juhansoo<\/mark>, media literacy expert <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#ffcd05\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Maria Murumaa-Mengel<\/mark>, and associate professor <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#ffcd05\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Ragne K\u00f5uts-Klemm<\/mark> from the Institute of Social Studies, University of Tartu. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over the course of the three-day visit, the experts delivered lectures, seminars, and workshops, sharing academic knowledge and methodological approaches related to strategic communication, information space analysis, global politics, and societal resilience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The aim of the visit was to take another step, in cooperation with the State University of Moldova, Moldova\u2019s Centre of Strategic Communication and Countering Disinformation, and PractNet experts, toward establishing a dedicated study programme at the University. The trainings were designed collaboratively, taking into account the local context in Moldova and students\u2019 existing knowledge, and included work on course planning, didactics, and learning outcomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The three-day programme covered both academic and practical perspectives on countering disinformation. On <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#ffcd05\" class=\"has-inline-color\">20 January<\/mark>, Professor Ragne K\u00f5uts-Klemm introduced the Master\u2019s programme \u201cDisinformation and Societal Resilience\u201d and discussed the development of an interdisciplinary study programme. On<mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#ffcd05\" class=\"has-inline-color\"> 21 January<\/mark>, she focused on sociological and data analysis approaches to disinformation, while Professor Marju Himma examined the impact of disinformation on local-level politics and science communication.
