The BECID project collects and generates a wide range of data, including platform-based data accessed via APIs, interviews with policymakers, journalists and experts, and analytical outputs such as reports, visualisations and training materials. All data are managed in line with FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) and strict ethical and legal standards.
Sensitive materials, such as interview recordings and transcripts, are stored securely by the University of Tartu with restricted access and GDPR-compliant safeguards. Interviews are conducted with informed consent, and all personal data are pseudonymised or anonymised before analysis. Only non-sensitive results, such as aggregated findings, reports and summarie, are shared publicly through the project website and appropriate repositories.
The BECID Data Management Plan is a living document and will be updated as the project evolves, ensuring transparency, data security and responsible research practices throughout the project lifecycle.
