BECID2 Updated Communication and Dissemination Plan

BECID has published its new comprehensive Communication Plan for the current project phase, outlining how the hub will coordinate internal collaboration and strengthen its public outreach across the Baltic region and beyond.

The plan defines clear objectives, target audiences, key messages, communication channels, and concrete activities to ensure that BECID’s work in combating information disorders reaches the widest possible impact.

The Communication Plan focuses on both internal and external communication. Internally, it supports smooth information flow and coordination between BECID’s work packages, including administration, research, fact-checking, and media literacy. Externally, the plan targets key audiences such as the general public, educators, the GLAM sector, journalists, policymakers, and civil society organizations, with tailored messages and formats adapted to each group.

A strong emphasis is placed on cross-platform distribution and cooperation with existing media and institutional partners. Communication activities will include regular website and social media content, newsletters, reports, and integrated outreach events such as webinars, workshops, and media literacy campaigns.

Special thematic focus in BECID2 is given to election-related disinformation, gendered disinformation, AI-driven manipulation, and health-related information disorders.

The plan is supported by a clear set of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensuring systematic monitoring of visibility, engagement, content production, and target group impact.

Through this structured approach, BECID aims to strengthen resilience against disinformation in the Baltic region and contribute to evidence-based policymaking and greater accountability of major online platforms and search engines.
